Executive Committee
The Executive Committee oversees the organization’s chief executive officer and is authorized to meet and take action between board meetings when it is impractical to get the full board together for a special board meeting.

Program Committee
The Program Committee oversees the organization’s programs. While the staff carries out day-to-day activities that result in the development and implementation of the organization’s programs, the Program Committee oversees long-range planning and general oversight. There are three agencies operated by the committee: Agency for Sports, Culture & Arts; the Agency for Education; and the Agency for Donations & Grants.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee oversees the preparation of the annual budget and the performance of the organization meeting its budgeted revenues and expenses. The Finance Committee also receives regular reports on the organization’s performance in meeting its budget and hence presents that information to the full board.

Governance Committee
The Governance Committee is in charge of nurturing the board and being responsible for board recruitment, orientation, self-assessment, continuing education, and management.

Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee oversees obtaining sponsorship and raising funds for the designated charity programs and special fundraising events such as the United States Martial Arts Festival, Martial Arts Scholarship Program, Global Donation Initiative, Global Education Initiative, Mikoto, Disaster Relief Fund.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee oversees developing criteria for membership, credentialing members, overseeing elections, and developing and delivering programs for the members.

Audit Committee
The Audit Committee selects an outside auditor, meets with the auditor to receive audit reports and management letters, and discusses the management letter with the full board and senior staff.
